The OpScore loop

The product is one repeating cycle: answer, score, focus on the red, learn, retest, level up, forecast.

Everything in OpScore fits into a single loop that repeats as often as the business changes. Each turn of the loop moves at least one focus area closer to green.

Step 1 — Answer

Take the self-assessment for a category at your current level. A full pass is short: a few minutes per focus area.

Step 2 — Score & color

Answers are normalized, averaged, and thresholded. You get a color per focus area and a rolled-up color per category. See "How scoring works" for the exact math.

Step 3 — Focus on the red

Focus alerts on the dashboard surface the weakest focus areas. Start with the worst one. Opinions are cheap; the colors tell you where to actually spend time.

Step 4 — Learn and act

Every focus area has an "Improve This" page with practical tips. Do the work. Change the process, train the person, buy the tool — whatever the tip implies.

Step 5 — Retest

Retake the self-assessment. Honest answers only; gaming the score defeats the tool. The color should move.

Step 6 — Level up

When every focus area in a category is green, unlock the next level. A new question set appears; scores reset; the loop resumes.

Step 7 — Forecast (optional)

A forecast tool (roadmap) will translate each pending level-up into projected financial upside, so owners can weigh where to invest effort.
